Government of Assam, Health and Family Welfare under National Health Mission appeal public to join to fight against Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in Assam. In a tweet on twitter, health minister of Assam, Shri Himanta Biswa Sarma requested everyone to help Assam Arogya Nidhi and declared as a critical phase as COVID-19 patients rising in Assam.

He also thanked the donor to the Assam Arogya Nidhi saying, “Every drop counts! My gratitude to the people people who have contributed to Assam Arogya Nidhi as donations to fight #Covid_19.“
Himanta Biswa Sarma Himself donated Rs. 1 Lakh Rupees to the PM Cares fund and Rs. 50,000/- to the Assam Arogya Nidhi from his salary in March 2020.

Assam Arogya Nidhi Total Donation Received/Collection
As of April 13, Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the Assam Arogya Nidhi has collected more than Rs 90.31 cr so far and still counting. He conveyed gratitude to every donor to the Health and Family Welfare of Assam to fight against COVID-19.
COVID-19 Cases in Assam
As of 13 April, the COVID-19 cases in Assam stood at 30 where the first case Sri Faijul Haque Barbhyan (65) was expired (aged 65 years) from Hailakandi District hours after midnight (around 2 am) in Silchar Medical College Hospital due to complication of COVID19.
The Health Minister also said that the government has set up quarantine facilities at Sarusajai Stadium for the upcoming war footing.

PM Cares Fund
If you want to donate to PM Cares fund, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also appealed the fellow Indian to help to the PM Cares Fund. PM said, “Kindly contribute to the PM-CARES Fund. This Fund will also cater to similar distressing situations if they occur in the times ahead.
The PM-CARES Fund accepts micro-donations too. It will strengthen disaster management capacities and encourage research on protecting citizens.
